Thank you for the opportunity to share our experience at your Ravens Cove Cabin. We’ve been recounting our wonderful time with everyone since we returned home!
We had never visited that part of North Carolina before, and were looking very forward to our time there. Truthfully, a person never knows what they might find when they reserve a place to stay online. But upon our arrival, we were pleasantly surprised that the cabin proved to be even more than your website described. We had hoped for a cabin that was secluded, peaceful, clean and relaxing – and Ravens Cove was all of that and so much more. Your clean and comfy furnishings, well equipped kitchen, and the amazing, large, covered, hot tub provided everything we needed for a relaxing, luxury, 29th Anniversary Get-away.
The washer and dryer came in very handy (we didn’t have to worry about catching up on laundry when we returned home). And although we didn’t watch it much at all, it was great to have the option of viewing Satellite TV.
Early each morning we enjoyed our coffee on the front porch while watching the squirrels and red foxes as they welcomed the day with us. The morning mist and ‘smoke’ rising from the mountains was spectacular. The views from the cabin were so breathtaking that we weren’t sure which direction to look at any given time. The sun breaking through the trees displayed its fragmented light as if the mountain was opening sleepy eyes and waking for the day. Beautiful!
Ravens Cove was perfectly situated to everything we wanted to see and do in the area. And it was the most amazing ‘home’ to return to after enjoying the activities of Bryson City and Cherokee. We ended each evening by lighting candles on the porch and soaking in the hot tub as we were serenaded by the crickets, cicadas and tree frogs.
Even the passing storms quickly broke to beautiful weather. The only negative aspect of our trip was the fact that we had to leave after only three days. There was so much to experience that we were shocked to find that we took well over 150 photos during our trip! I’ve attached a few of the photos we took of the cabin and the area.
